Within The Nursery we have a number of different gardens to suit the different ages and stages of each group. As well as our own gardens there are also a number of local areas that each age group explore including the park, the duck pond and local nature trails.
Recent research suggests that children are not getting enough outdoor, physical play so at The Nursery we ensure that the children all get as much fresh air and outdoor opportunities as possible throughout each season.

The Babies have a separate area of The Big Garden and throughout the year, double buggies are used to take them out for walks into the local area.
The Toddlers have use of the front garden of The Castle. This is equipped with a mini fort and slide, a pirate ship, tree stumps for climbing and a large area for bikes, trikes and push-along toys.

The Mini Kids and The Big Kids use our other two gardens at alternative times throughout the day.
The Big Garden is a large area that includes areas of grass, bark and tarmac and provides plenty of space to run and explore. It includes a tree house and slide, a mud kitchen, tree stumps and logs as well as a variety of bikes, scooters and see-saws.

The Mini Garden is another area that provides opportunities for development. It includes a discovery table for sensory play, tree stumps and a playhouse.
