Our Gardens
Recent research suggests that children are not getting enough outdoor physical play so throughout The Nursery, from the youngest baby to our very mature P7’s, we prioritise outdoor activities through each of the four seasons.
There are a number of local areas we love to explore including the park, the duck pond and the local nature trails.
Within our own grounds we have a variety of gardens to suit the different ages and stages of each group.
The Babies have a separate area of The Big Garden and throughout the year double buggies are used to take them out for walks in the local area.
The Toddlers use the front garden of The Castle which has a mini fort with slide, a pirate ship, tree stumps for climbing along with bikes, trikes and push-along toys. They too head out for walks in the local area.
The Mini Kids and The Big Kids use our other two gardens at alternate times of the day.
The Big Garden has areas of grass, bark and tarmac and provides plenty of space to run and explore. There is a treehouse with slide, a mud kitchen, tree stumps and logs as well as a variety of bikes, scooters and seesaws.
The Mini Garden includes a discovery table for sensory play, tree stumps and a play house. The stoned area is excellent for trucks and diggers.
